Seek the Lovely Heartwarming Marche @Higashi-betsuin temple!
A Stylish Marche recommended for people of all ages
The 28th of each month is the “Higashi-betsuin Temple Handmade Marche Day“♪♪
It takes place at Higashi-betsuin Temple on the anniversary of Shinran, the founder of the Jodo Shinshu Buddhism sect. The temple is at 4min. subway-ride or 30min. walk from Sakae.
Many people come and go through the lovely shops which sell handcrafted goods and dinnerwares, handmade baby clothes, organic vegetables, wild yeast made bread, and so on.
This event is very popular among young mothers & kids, because many shops serve organic food, and there are some places to sit & eat, or to play with little kids. It’s also popular among people of various ages, so it gets very crowded especially in the weekends.
I think it’s one of the most stylish morning market in Japan. You may enjoy slow & comfortable time in front of the big temple, then, sometimes take a look around the shops, or enjoy a cup of specially roasted coffee, so it’s a very recommended event to visit☆
